Amy Dreams of Being a Mom
While on stage she becomes a powerful and impressive artist, when entering a chat with Amy Lee, lead singer of Evanescence, this image disappears and shows the personal little explored side and valued by her.
The 30 years old singer speaks of the aspects of your most precious treasure in life: her family, and confess to being a lover of Mexican food and have the aim of supporting new talent.
“I have a wonderful family. I am extremely grateful for my beautiful family and although we met a little, fortunately they accompany me on the internet when I’m on tour, they read the interviews and feel proud of my achievements,” said Amy Lee of Evanescence, who will perform in January 28th at Auditorio Telmex.
“Tomorrow (today) we’re gonna play in Little Rock, Arkansas, where my family lives, and it’s the best moment to enjoy. I’m very excited because I’m gonna see them, they all bought tickets for the concert. So I think the biggest success I have in my life is my family.”
When we notice that she was excited, it was impossible not to ask about being a mom, a dream she wants to accomplish on the future.
“I don’t want to get pregnant right now, it’d be very hard to be pregnant during the tour, but definitely Josh and I love children, we dream of having a big family and would love to have one (big family) on the future,” said Amy Lee, who married with Josh Hartzler on May 6, 2007.
However, she also likes to create and be a character on stage.
“My life is really hard to describe. Part of me is creative, that’s when I’m recording an album. I like to get involved in every project, there are times when I spend three days until everything is as I expected.”
“I get up at 5 o’clock, because I have a recording studio in my house, and I love working on my ideas, sometimes I get crazy, but I love it. The other part of me is on stage, which is where I like to show me the way I am.”
She comes (to Mexico) with wants/desires!
She likes to taste the typical food.
“Mexico has a wonderful people, they’re great. We have lived great experiences at our concerts, the fans are very passionate and also very beautiful, and their energy is what I like. We’re very excited to be back,” she said.
“After our fans, what we love about Mexico is the food. We really love Mexico. I like the real tacos, because the US ones are different, I also like enchiladas, guacamole and sauces.”
Support new values
Evanescence like to share good musical ideas with their fans, so Amy would love to work with new artists.
“There are very good musicians in Mexico. Actually, the opening band, Miró, is a very good band and I’m very excited. They have a special sound and I’m excited to meet them.”
“We’re touring with Rival Sons right now and they’re amazing. We’re always looking for bands that have good energy and their music is interesting. I think it’s good that people listen to new bands that they have not heard before, and that their music speak for itself.”
